Escape Road City 2 features an open-world city setting and offers the highest level of freedom in the series. In addition to the core chase gameplay, it supports multiple modes of transportation, including walking, swimming, and paragliding, with the map hiding numerous escape routes such as alleys, rooftops, and bodies of water.

• The core chase mechanics remain the same: evade police cars, collect coins, and unlock vehicles.
• City Features: Enter alleys and rooftops, or even jump off tall buildings with a paraglider to completely evade linear pursuits.
• New hidden items and Easter eggs have been added; rare vehicles can be found in certain areas, enhancing the sense of exploration.

• Use city alleys to bypass head-on pursuits; this is safer than changing lanes on main roads.
• Paragliders are ideal for quick movement from high ground and can instantly drop out of a helicopter's line of sight.
• Avoid staying in open areas for too long; city buildings provide the best cover.
